We are Christians. We believe in the triune God the Father, Christ the Son, and in the Holy Spirit - the three in one. As Christians, we are a part of the one holy, catholic (universal) church. We are in conversations and partnership with almost all other branches of Christianity.

Our particular denomination of Christianity is Lutheran. Lutherans follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and were formed in the 16th century when a Catholic monk named Martin Luther looked for reform in the church. As Lutherans we place a heavy emphasis on scripture, grace, and faith.

Our mission at Christ Lutheran is to create a community where all people can know Jesus Christ; grow in faith, hope and love; live out their faith in their everyday life; and, in doing so, share the Good News of God’s love in Christ Jesus with others. At Christ Lutheran we choose actively and intentionally to be united by our commonality rather than be divided by our differences. With Christ as our bedrock, we seek to know, grow, live and share God’s love in Christ Jesus with our families, our community and our world having established a community of Christians that has actively worshiped together for 37 years.

Many church websites you go to have this same tab about “What to expect when you arrive at this new church.” Most of them talk about wearing jeans or good coffee or some 80’s contemporary band.
At Christ Lutheran, we’ve stayed a bit more classic. The worship style is traditional, but broken open, with more room for God’s presence and hope

At Christ Lutheran, we’ve stayed a bit more classic. The worship style is traditional, but broken open, with more room for God’s presence and hope to be revealed and experienced.
Yes, you’ll see people wearing anything from jeans to suits. You’ll see young people and 95 year olds. You’ll see worship leaders in robes in a pulpit or without robes and standing in front of the congregation. Each week it might be a bit different. Broken open. But yet the same classic experiences of God every week: forgiveness, hope, lessons, peace and communion.
Sunday should be about one thing: experiencing God!
So no matter how we break it open each week at Christ Lutheran, what we tweak, or how it is dressed, we will be there to celebrate God’s presence with us. We hope you’ll join us….
